S.M.A.R.T. Goals

Good morning. Good evening. Good afternoon. My WonLifestyle family.

Right now I want to talk All about goals. Last week I talked about how we need to focus on to bring upon and how what we focus on in our life, we are going to bring that upon ourselves. What goes around comes around, right?

So this week, right now, what I wanted to talk about is goals and how crucial it is to be able to have goals set for yourself in your life, and be able to focus on those daily because that can help you bring even MORE of what you want into your life.

If you want to be able to bring anything into your life, you have to put intention on whatever it is that you want to bring into your life. So if you want to make any sort of transformation, whether it’s with your health, whether it’s with wealth, relationships, you have to be able to focus on that. The best way to be able to focus on that is by setting goals for yourself.

Now, a lot of us, generally, have goals, we have goals in our mind, but they’re just floating around. They aren’t concrete, they aren’t specific. They aren’t real until you make them real until you actually focus on them and easiest way to be able to do this is to have a goal sheet. This is actually what I do! Right on my computer, in my room, I have a goal sheet, I actually have it pulled up here on one of my tabs right now. So I just constantly have that goal sheet up. Every single morning when I wake up, and I start my routine, I actually look at my goal sheet. Because I want to be able to bring these goals into my life. So I look at those daily, because I want to achieve them, I want them to come to fruition, I want them to be real, I want them to be in my life right now. So I focus on those every single day.

Now, the best way to set this up, at least how I have it, I figured out the best way is I just have an Excel program actually use Google Sheets. So it’s right in my drive. And I have tabs, I have 30 day goals, quarterly goals, six month goals, 12 month goals, two year goals, five year goals and 10 year goals. I get really specific. And there’s an end range. There’s, you know, at 10 years, something that I want to achieve. And I started there, and then I work my way backwards, I look at Okay, what do I have to do baby steps to be able to reach that goal in 10 years or less. And that’s my mindset is 10 years or less, five years or less, two years or less, I want to be able to achieve that goal as soon as I can, and what is going to be able to get me there. And who do I have to become who do I have to be to get me there as well.

So I have personal goals. And I have business goals, I have two sections, each 30 days, quarterly, six month, 12 month to a year, five year and 10 year. Now, you don’t have to get that specific but I do. Because I’m that organized A-type personality. So there’s nothing wrong with that. But that’s just what I do. When it comes to setting up your goals, you have to do what I like to call SMART goals. And this is really key, this is important, this is a must, this is something that you must do whenever you’re creating a goal, I like to use this acronym. They’re called SMART goals. So S is for specific. So you want to make sure your goal is going to be specific. And M is measurable, there has to be some sort of measurable component. Like if you’re losing weight, there has to be a measurable component, like how many pounds? Or if you’re gaining weight, how many pounds. So S specific, M measurable, A attainable has to be attainable. Kind of a no brainer, but something that people overlook, it has to be Attainable. R is realistic, you have to make sure it’s realistic, okay, can’t be something crazy, it can’t be something wild. Like if you’re just speaking about losing weight, it can’t be 60 pounds in a week, right? That’s not realistic.
So it has to be realistic. And then the T is time frame, you have to have a set timeframe for it. Okay, how long? How quickly Are you going to achieve it? set a date for yourself. And that’s where I like to do the 30 days, quarterly, six months, I like to have those as my timeframe for the goals and I just enter my goals. Specific, Measurable, attainable, Realistic, Time-Frame.

Also, whenever your wording and you’re talking about it, you have to start saying, I’m GOING to achieve this goal, not I want to, but I’m going to achieve it. It creates a different mindset for actually achieivng the goal. And the one of the biggest things when having a goal sheet, is when you’re looking at those daily, you start thinking about how you’re going to achieve it, and what it’s going to take to be able to achieve it as well. So just having that intention, you’re going to naturally start asking these questions in your mind about these goals, what it’s going to take to achieve it, what are the resources that I need? Who can I talk to to help me achieve these goals? So important!

So having a goal sheet is critical in all those aspects, it’s just going to help you achieve your goals, be able to achieve the life that you want, much quicker. And that’s, that’s what we all want, right? We want to all live the lives that we want to live. So what does that life look like to you? everybody’s life is going to be different. But what does that life look like to you? What does your perfect life look like? There’s no reason that you can’t achieve it. Okay, no reason at all. Write it down, write it out, get specific, and focus on it, put that intention towards it every single day. And that’s the easiest way to be able to do is having that goal sheet. So if you haven’t done this yet, first of all, identify the life that you want. Identify the life that you want, sometimes it helps surrounding yourself by people that you look up to, in just looking at their lives and be like, oh, that looks great. Like, I want that for my life, or I want that for my family, I want that. that helps to be able to identify some of the things you trly want and will help make your goals a little bit more specific of the things that you want. Also, it just helps you realize that it’s attainable, like somebody has done it And they were probably in your shoes at one point in their life.
