The Tesla Move..

As you can tell by the time I write this, Tesla has launched two more products in the Auto Industry. The fact that I am writing my second article again when Tesla has announced their next gen products, I consider it both my affinity towards tech, and also as a “total disruption” is what i like to call it in the Auto industry.

This is exciting for millennials because of 2 things. One is that for the first time in their lifetime, they are witnessing what could possibly be a total makeover to the vehicular industry as they perceived it since the beginning. Factor in that no groundbreaking invention has been done in the products or that which we use in day today life pretty much since 90’s. (apart from the smartphones that is)

While the innovation, research and development of science almost seems like it has come to a screeching halt with just exceptions in Space Exploration and AI. Nobody was talking about these developments as these didn’t transcend into people’s lives on a regular basis.

This is where Tesla comes in with their products that makes people take notice. The new Tesla Semi Truck and the insane Tesla Roadster comes in as real knock to the gasoline dominated vehicle manufacturers. With Tesla claiming that the Semi truck can be as cheap as rail in mass transportation, cheaper than diesel powered trucks from day one, Its hard for Logistics company’s to pass on the offer. The fact that they don’t have to trade in performance for switching from diesel to electric is an added plus.

Tesla has done their homework so good that it far exceeds the competition and delivers overwhelming performance for the same cost. Tesla has pulled an absolute banger on the charging of this massive trucks battery packs. A 30 minutes of charge will give a 400 mile range, whereas a diesel truck takes about 15 minutes to fill up it’s tank.

If you saw the live stream, you will be aware of the “one more thing” that Tesla pulled at the end of the presentation. The Roadster 2. The company’s first product was a Tesla Roadster. With the version 2, Tesla is taking a jab at the very high end spectrum of the sports car industry. The Roadster 2 is the fastest production car at the moment with a 250+ mph and a ridiculous acceleration of 0–60 mph at 1.9 sec. Add to it the 600 mile range with a single charge, It looks like the car from the future.

With all the pollution and global warming happening these days, Tesla really feels like a company that relies on innovation and giving the best quality of products and service to its customers along with setting the bars high for other manufacturers.
