A recent issue that has been occurring through Mobcrush and ONLY happening on the Twitch side, is an off putting discoloration and pixelization known as Artifacting.
The telltale signs:
I’m not a live stream architect and can’t go on to give you an exact explanation of what or where this is happening, but essentially somewhere between the two servers, there is a miscommunication.
However, the fix is easy!
In OBS;
Open your project settings
Head to the ‘OUTPUT’ tab
There are two things to look at here; first your encoder
If you’re still using the default x264 but have a capture card encoder available change to that.
If you’re stuck using x264 skip to the bottom section of that settings page. I will bet money that your CPU Preset is set to something in the Medium to Faster range.
CPU Usage Preset is directly linked to this problem and needs to be set to veryfast or faster.
But for good measure copy these settings as well
Ultimately, depending on your own CPU you might be able to fool around with this setting. I ran various settings on a mac laptop against a PC desktop and the PC was able to handle a wider range of CPU usage as expected.
